Hiking & Biking
The interior of B.C. is truly one of the most magnificent landscapes in the world, and with Kootenay, Banff and Yoho National Parks within two hours of Aspen Meadows, what better place for a family retreat from which to journey into the wilderness on foot or bicycle? These parks, as well as the provincial parks, lakeside trails, and vast expanses of open space make this the perfect base for a summer of outdoor exploring. Hiking in the Canadian Rockies is already legendary around the world, and mountain biking is quickly becoming the area's newest summer draw. Hundreds of miles of trails for both sports wind through the hills and valleys, cross creeks and rivers, and summit towering peaks. The country roads in the area provide perfect routes for road biking as well as doing some antiquing or just casually coasting through the gorgeous scenery.
