Aspen Meadows sits right in the middle of some of the world's greatest skiing and snow sports. In fact, Ski Canada magazine has recognized the Kootenay ski resorts with awards for the "Best Powder," "Best Trees" and "Best Steeps." This area is legendary for its abundant champagne powder, small crowds, quaint villages and up-and-coming resorts. Three of the region's best ski destinations, Kimberly, Kicking Horse and Panorama Mountain Resorts, are within a close drive of Aspen Meadows, and many of Alberta's world renowned resorts are just a couple hours away. Or take a helicopter ride to a seemingly unending supply of fresh powder outside the boundaries of the traditional resorts. From downhill to cross country skiing to snowmobiling to snowshoeing to ice skating and fishing, this region is an all-around winter playground!
